Smooth Sounds
The individuals in this triptych are based on real people. Each one of these men has touched my heart in some special way. I call each one my friend; however, not one of them plays a musical instrument. It was my decision to create the musical trio, feeling that each one possessed unique characteristics that would create a wonderful canvas on which to paint. These men come from completely different walks of life; the sax player is a former Marine and a personal trainer, the violinist is a restaurateur, and the cellist is an oil executive. My hope is that the future owner of this work will find as much enjoyment in viewing the pieces as I did in painting them.
